About The Position

As the Capital Markets Manager, Structured Products, you will help shape and execute the financing strategy that supports Upstart’s AI lending marketplace. The role calls for a strong structured-finance track record, relationship-building across capital markets participants, technical expertise reviewing asset- and bond-level cash-flow models, and leadership in negotiations across Structured Products offerings. Upstart’s Capital Markets team secures loan-funding capital for its AI lending marketplace through solutions including securitizations, whole-loan sales, co-investment partnerships, and other structured transactions. The Structured Products team oversees securitization, pass-through, and financing programs, and serves as the primary point of contact with major investment banks, lenders, and investors on capital markets offerings. The team operates flexibly across East Coast and West Coast time zones. The position requires working from the New York, NY or Burlingame, CA office one to three times weekly. Most work can be accomplished remotely, with in-person collaboration through team onsites; most teams meet once or twice per quarter for two to four consecutive days.
