Capital Markets Manager

Hadrian Automation•Torrance, CA
•$200,000 - $230,000

About The Position

Hadrian is hiring a Capital Markets Manager to lead execution of its capital markets activity, with a primary emphasis on debt capital markets. The role translates operational and financial needs—including new factories, machine capital expenditures, working capital, and growth—into executable financing transactions across corporate and asset-backed contexts. The manager will drive transactions from structuring through diligence, negotiation, and closing, and own relationships with banks, private credit funds, and other debt capital providers. Working closely with the CFO, SVP of Capital Markets, Treasury, FP&A, and Legal, the manager will align financing strategy with liquidity planning, capital allocation, and long-term planning. This is an outward-facing, execution-focused role that requires comfort with non-standard financing situations that may not fit traditional corporate lending frameworks. The manager will also help build out the capital markets function as Hadrian’s financing cadence scales.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of experience in leveraged finance, debt capital markets, private credit, project finance, investment banking, structured finance, or a corporate-side capital markets role.
  • Significant experience executing debt transactions end to end, including structuring, diligence, documentation, and closing.
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, capital structures, and lender dynamics, including pricing, covenants, security packages, and key credit agreement terms.
  • Experience working directly with banks, direct lenders, and private credit funds, with the ability to independently drive complex, external-facing processes under tight timelines.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills focused on credit and downside analysis.
  • Strong judgment in structuring and negotiating complex transactions, with the presence to represent Hadrian before lenders, investors, and the Board.
  • High ownership and accountability for external execution, a bias toward action, and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving situations.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in structured or asset-backed financing, such as equipment finance, receivables facilities, project-based debt, or sale-leasebacks.
  • Experience in capital-intensive or operationally complex industries, such as aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with government contracting environments, including FAR, CAS, DCAA, and contract types, and how they shape cash flow and credit profile.
  • Familiarity with government financing programs, such as DoD Office of Strategic Capital, DPA Title III, and state and local incentives, and how they fit into a capital stack.
  • Experience with equity, convertible, and hybrid instruments, and evaluating debt-versus-dilution trade-offs.
  • Experience building or scaling a capital markets or treasury function at a high-growth company.
  • An established network across the bank, private credit, and defense, space, or manufacturing investor ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of debt transactions, including credit facilities, term loans, private credit, equipment and facility financing, and structured debt, from structuring through diligence, negotiation, and closing.
  • Structure financing solutions across corporate and asset-backed contexts, including equipment finance, receivables facilities, sale-leasebacks, project-level debt, and government-backed loans.
  • Build and manage relationships with banks, private credit funds, and institutional lenders; run competitive financing processes and coordinate diligence.
  • Lead term sheet negotiation, documentation, and closing with Legal, outside counsel, and finance leadership, addressing pricing, covenants, security, and flexibility trade-offs.
  • Develop financing capacity and options proactively to support speed, certainty, and flexibility in capital access.
  • Partner with the CFO, SVP of Capital Markets, Treasury, and FP&A to align financing strategy with liquidity planning, cash forecasting, capital allocation priorities, and the operating plan.
  • Own the capital structure, debt capacity, and credit and downside models that support financing decisions, and set standards for the team’s analytical work.
  • Present financing strategy and recommendations to the CFO, SVP of Capital Markets, executive team, and Board; prepare lender and investor materials for live processes.
  • Oversee lender reporting and credit agreement compliance, including compliance certificates, borrowing base and covenant calculations, and manage amendments, waivers, and upsizes.
  • Monitor debt and equity capital markets across aerospace and defense, industrials, and defense technology to benchmark terms and identify opportunities.
  • Mentor and develop analysts and associates and help scale the capital markets function, including future rating agency engagement and public-market readiness.

  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees.
  • 401(k).
  • Relocation support may be provided in certain situations based on business need.
