Experienced Entry Door Technician - Cedar Rapids
About The Position
DH Pace Door Service, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Entry Door Technician based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role is for an experienced door-industry professional who values autonomy and is interested in year-round work within a supportive environment that promotes learning, professional growth, and career advancement. The technician installs and repairs commercial doors and door hardware, including roll-up and dock doors, dock equipment, high-speed rolling doors, and commercial entry doors. The position includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus, a company truck and fuel, paid training, and tool and boot allowances.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role or a role requiring mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work at heights and use a ladder.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Successful completion of required employment verifications, background check, drug screen, and driving record check, if applicable, before hire.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in a similar role or one requiring mechanical aptitude preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install and/or repair commercial doors and door hardware, including roll-up doors, dock doors and equipment, high-speed rolling doors, and commercial entry doors.
- Identify opportunities to provide customers with products and services.
- Operate in a safety-conscious manner while performing job duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
