About The Position
TheKey is hiring experienced caregivers to provide one-to-one, in-home support to aging adults in San Marcos, California, and surrounding areas. Caregivers help clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship while supporting their quality of life and well-being. The role offers full-time and part-time schedules, with all shifts available. The stated pay range is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, and a sign-on bonus program offers up to $750. Qualified caregivers may often begin working within 3–5 days after orientation. Applicants must meet applicable state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States. California fingerprint identification is required as a condition of employment; a conditional offer will be rescinded if the applicant has a non-exemptible conviction, consistent with applicable laws.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
- At least 18 years of age.
- California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration, including meeting state background requirements; the company can help obtain registration after hire.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
- TB clearance or chest X-ray.
- Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
- Applicants in California must provide timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients one-to-one in their homes with personal care, including dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
- Provide light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Drive clients to appointments and help with errands and grocery shopping.
- Provide companionship through games, puzzles, and other activities offering social and emotional support.
