About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one, private-pay in-home care for aging adults. Caregivers assist clients in their homes with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. TheKey offers flexible schedules, full-time and part-time opportunities, and shifts of 4–8 hours. Applicants who qualify can often begin working within 3–5 days after orientation. Compensation and some eligibility requirements, benefits, and bonuses vary by state and location.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
• At least 18 years of age.
• HCA registration with the State of California; TheKey can help obtain registration upon hire, subject to state background requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
• TB clearance or chest X-ray.
• Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
• Applicants must meet California fingerprint identification requirements; a conditional offer will be rescinded if the applicant has a non-exemptible conviction, in accordance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
• Provide light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
• Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and grocery shop.
• Provide companionship and social and emotional support through activities such as games and puzzles.
