About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Automotive Technician to perform a full range of repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs and heavy engine work, including repairs to timing belts, suspension systems, wheel bearings, axles, and climate-control systems. The role also includes diagnosing and repairing advanced electrical issues on electric and hybrid vehicles. The position offers a pay range of $25.00 to $39.00 per hour. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Carvana provides training programs for entry-level positions, with skills and pay progression; these programs are described for entry-level roles rather than as a requirement for this experienced position.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools and lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check; some positions may also be subject to a motor vehicle records check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate-control systems, including air conditioners and heater cores.
