About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Automotive Technician to perform automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The work ranges from light maintenance to complex repairs and heavy engine work, and includes diagnostics and repairs on vehicles of all makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles. The role is in a fast-paced production environment and may require mandatory overtime based on business needs. Carvana states that it offers training programs for entry-level hires so their skills and pay can progress with the company.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, including timing belts, suspension systems, and heavy engine work.
Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
