About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Automotive Technician to perform a full range of automotive repairs and diagnostics on vehicles at a high-tech Inspection Center. The work includes general and complex repairs across all makes and models, from light maintenance and suspension work to heavy engine work; diagnosing and repairing advanced electrical issues, including on electric and hybrid vehicles; and repairing wheel bearings, axles, and climate-control systems such as air conditioning and heater cores. The position operates in a fast-paced production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., with overtime depending on production goals. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

At least 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment and sometimes be exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including those involving electric and hybrid vehicles.
Repair wheel bearings and axles.
Repair vehicle climate-control systems, including air conditioning and heater cores.
Work in a fast-paced, changing production environment and work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
