About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Auto Painter to prepare vehicles for customers at a high-tech vehicle Inspection Center. The role requires professional automotive painting expertise, including applying base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. The position offers a competitive wage and access to state-of-the-art tools. Carvana describes itself as a fast-growing used automotive retailer and operates vehicle Reconditioning Centers where cars are inspected, perfected, and photographed before being listed on its website. The work takes place in a fast-paced, changing production environment and may involve exposure to heat or cold. Employees must use applicable safety equipment. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs to help meet customer delivery commitments. Applicants must be at least 18, hold a valid driver’s license, be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, and pass a complete background check. Some positions may also be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
Skill in painting base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats.
Skill in blending adjacent panels and paint correcting vehicles.
Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
At least 18 years of age.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
Must pass a complete background check.
Some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
