About The Position

Carvana is hiring an Experienced Auto Painter to prepare low-mileage, late-model vehicles for customers at one of its high-tech Inspection Centers. The role requires professional automotive painting experience and skill in applying base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats; blending adjacent panels; and paint correcting vehicles. Employees receive a competitive wage and work with state-of-the-art tools. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional automotive painting experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• At least 18 years of age and a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment, sometimes with exposure to excessive heat or cold.
• Use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must pass a complete background check.
• Must be legally eligible to work without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Apply base coats, tri-coats, solid, metallic, and clear coats to vehicles.
• Blend adjacent panels.
• Paint correct vehicles.
• Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
