Experienced Application Engineer (All Levels)

Appian is seeking an Application Engineer to join their expanding team in Mexico City. In this role, you will be responsible for developing large-scale applications that support internal Appian employees worldwide. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and deliver mission-critical business impact. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software development or technical consulting, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology and continuous learning. This is a hybrid role that requires candidates to work in the office four days a week.

• Design, develop, and implement custom software solutions using Appian's platform
• Gather requirements and analyze internal stakeholders' business needs to develop technical solutions
• Build and invoke web APIs to integrate various systems used across the organization
• Work on projects independently or with a small team
• Triage and troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support to business applications
• Have a B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical/engineering degree
• Have 3-8+ years of experience in software development or technical consulting
• Have professional English proficiency
• Have excellent communication skills and a passion for technology and continuous learning
• Have experience building products using agile methodologies
• Have a basic understanding of object-oriented programming, developing APIs, and working with relational databases
• Have knowledge of software testing practices and integrations experience using APIs
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Machine Learning, Google Cloud, Application Integration, Database, Developer Tools, Management & Governance, and Elastic Containers is preferred.
