About The Position
Smile Brands is seeking an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support the Castle Dental team in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. The role involves assisting the dentist during exams and procedures, taking dental X-rays, preparing treatment rooms and instruments, educating patients, and maintaining accurate records. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Compensation is $28–$30 per hour.
Requirements
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) qualification.
- Dental radiology (X-ray) certification.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, or ability to obtain it before the start date.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control standards.
- Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, supporting efficiency and patient comfort.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
- Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Educate patients about oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts.
