About The Position

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall management and operation of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff. This role oversees all housekeeping functions, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry and inventory control, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, brand compliance, and guest satisfaction.

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and/or 1-2 years related experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare employee schedules according to business forecasts, payroll budgets, and productivity requirements.
Train all team members on safety, security, company policies, and SOPs, ensuring proper implementation and compliance.
Conduct required performance reviews for direct reports and make recommendations for compensation adjustments in accordance with company policy.
Be proactive in providing and training employees to deliver positive and memorable guest experiences.
Conduct daily stand-up and monthly departmental meetings with housekeeping staff according to LHG and brand standards.
Inspect guestrooms and internal/external public spaces daily, or more often based on usage and requirements.
Maintain required PAR levels for housekeeping and laundry supplies; conduct monthly and quarterly inventories and adjust based on property needs.
Monitor work orders and follow up with engineering to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
Ensure completion of regular maintenance and cleaning projects on weekly, monthly, quarterly, or biannual schedules.
Properly store, secure, and issue supplies as needed to meet business demands.
Operate radios and computer systems efficiently and professionally to ensure accurate reporting and communication.
Complete required paperwork, reports, and closing duties daily and timely.
Participate in required Manager-on-Duty coverage as scheduled.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
Focus the housekeeping department on contributing to property guest service scores and overall property image.
Respond to all guest requests, complaints, situations, and accidents in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
Review guest request logs daily to ensure all requests have been met, addressing issues proactively.
Maintain department expenses within budget guidelines (CPOR, % of Revenue, or other metrics), including payroll and all room department costs.
Maintain standards regarding purchasing, invoices, and checkbook accounting.
Comply at all times with LHG and brand standards, local, state, and federal regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
Comply with certification requirements as applicable (Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, First Aid, etc.).
Ensure timely compliance with all Brand Quality Assurance standards.
Establish and maintain an effective key control system for team member, guest, and visitor safety.
Ensure guest privacy and security by correctly following brand and company procedures.
Respond to emergency situations, utilizing S.D.S. sheets and notifying appropriate leadership.
Communicate discrepancies, scheduling changes, room status updates, project status, and other relevant information to appropriate team members and leadership.
Represent the hotel and company in a professional and positive manner within the community and industry.
Collaborate with the General Manager to resolve personnel and operational issues in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Directly supervise housekeeping team members.
Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, and training employees with assistance from the General Manager and/or human resources; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
