About The Position

The Executive Assistant coordinates and manages the administrative activities of The Ohio State Ross Heart Hospital under the direction of the Administrator and Administrative Directors of the hospital. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate across internal and external organizations while working with staff and management across multiple departments and hospitals. Provides assistance to other senior leaders within Ross Administration which requires considerable discretion and judgement as dealing in matters of a highly confidential nature. Oversees office matters relating to facilities and supplies. The Ross administrative suite supports the Ross Heart Hospital senior leadership team that is responsible for leading the operations of the hospital.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Up to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar setting.
  • Excellent computer skills relevant to the position.
  • Classified Civil Service: Six months experience (600 hours training) using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex.
  • Classified Civil Service: 6 mos. experience (600 hrs course work) in office practices and procedures.
  • Classified Civil Service: 6 months experience (600 hours course work) in customer service.
  • Some positions require one year related medical secretarial experience or completion of an associate's degree program with three courses in medical terminology plus 3 mos. experience (300 hours training) in use of word processing equipment, consistent with position description.
  • Some positions require 6 mos. experience (600 hrs course work) in supervision consistent with position description.
