Social Finance is a national nonprofit and registered investment adviser (SF Advisers, LLC) that collaborates with public, private, and social sectors to forge partnerships and investments that demonstrably improve lives. Since its inception in 2011, the organization has facilitated over $500 million in investments aimed at enhancing outcomes in workforce and economic mobility, health, and housing. Social Finance operates under the core belief that social and economic systems should empower all individuals to thrive, and that governments and markets working in tandem can generate the most significant and measurable societal change. The organization is founded on five key values: people, performance, integrity, collaboration, and inclusion. Its work is structured across four domains: Impact-first Investing, Workforce and Education Investments, Advisory & Public Sector Practice, and the Social Finance Institute. The Impact-first Investment team focuses on creating and managing investments that offer solutions for deploying impact capital effectively across various social outcomes. The Workforce and Education Investments team develops and manages financial solutions to address workforce challenges, including access to skills training. The Advisory team collaborates with government and philanthropy leaders to implement data-driven programs for social impact advancement. The Social Finance Institute is dedicated to advancing the field and transforming systems through research, communities of practice, and educational outreach.
