EVS Technician - Environmental Services - North
About The Position
The Environmental Services Technician maintains environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures. The role cleans and maintains areas in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require traveling from one facility to another. The technician responds to and initiates communication by phone, handheld radios, pagers, and similar devices. The position is with CoxHealth's Environmental Services North department at Cox North in Springfield, Missouri. The scheduled weekly hours are 40, with a shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Requirements
- No prior experience required.
- Able to work alone and after hours frequently.
- Able to stand and walk continually.
- Observe safety standards and use safe work techniques at all times.
- Advocate for and strive to protect patients' health, safety, and rights.
- Demonstrate awareness of safety protocols involving Material Safety Data Sheets and personal protective equipment.
