About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician (EVS)/Housekeeping position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, orderly, and presentable hospital environment. Assigned areas may include patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas. The role performs routine housekeeping tasks according to established schedules and procedures, using cleaning solutions and disinfectants to help prevent the spread of disease. The technician is also expected to demonstrate customer service excellence when interacting with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience is required.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate commitment to customer service excellence in interactions with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
Help maintain the overall sanitation, order, and appearance of the hospital.
Perform routine housekeeping tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
Clean furnishings, floors, and equipment with appropriate cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
Dust window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture; empty trash containers; and arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly manner.
Make beds with clean linen as prescribed.
Scour and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment.
Replenish soap, towels, and other dispensable supplies.
