About The Position

Responsible for directing and performing the day-to-day activities of the Environmental Services Department. The EVS Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer service are provided at the Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of leadership experience in an Environmental Services Department or related field required.
  • Must have experience working with the public and demonstrate exceptional guest service.
  • Must have knowledge and understanding of cleaning tools, chemicals, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of time and attendance systems, Microsoft Office suite applications, MSDS, OSHA processing, protocols, and requirements.
  • Strong guest service and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise, smoke, and temperature levels.
  • Ability to secure and maintain STATE OR TRIBAL Gaming License.

Responsibilities

  • Directing and performing the day-to-day activities of the Environmental Services Department.
  • Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer service are provided.
  • Practicing, supporting, and maintaining the Mission, Vision and Values of Casino.
  • Hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, and managing staff to ensure team members receive adequate guidance and resources to achieve established objectives.
  • Assigning routine and non-routine job functions to departmental team members; managing time and attendance for all team members.
  • Observing and directing the actions of subordinates.
  • Assisting in the duties and responsibilities of the EVS Attendant as needed.
  • Maintaining a good public relations image for other property departments and guests.
  • Carrying out training programs as new methods or techniques are adopted by the department.
  • Maintaining departmental cleanliness standards using an inspection process throughout all assigned areas of responsibility and observing and correcting any work-related deficiencies.
  • Establishing, implementing, and monitoring department objectives, standards, guidelines, and other administrative processes to achieve proper supervision of the department.
  • Performing various administrative duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Manager.
  • Communicating effectively with guests as well as team members at all levels within STRC.
