About The Position

The EVS Operations Manager is responsible for the general management and accountability of the Environmental Services and Distribution departments at Barnes-Jewish Extended Care, a 120-bed skilled nursing facility in Clayton, Missouri. The Housekeeping Department supports a clean and safe environment of care for patients and residents. The role offers an opportunity to help shape environmental services operations, influence strategy, implement solutions, and use tools and technology to improve operational effectiveness and service excellence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience.
• 2–5 years of supervisory experience.

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience.
• 5–10 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage employees, including hiring, training, work assignment, performance management and evaluation, and professional development planning.
• Ensure team productivity and actions support department operational goals.
• Develop and adhere to departmental staffing, revenue, and/or expense budgets, responding to business changes that may affect budget goals.
• Manage overall Environmental Services and Distribution Services operations.
• Set strategic direction and ensure departments have the resources needed to support their goals.
• Ensure Environmental Services and Distribution Services comply with environmental and regulatory codes and guidelines to protect the organization from liability, licensure, and accreditation deficiencies and penalties.
