EVS Manager 2nd Shift
About The Position
Xanitos is seeking a second-shift EVS Manager at Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, Mississippi. The EVS Manager manages Environmental Services associates with oversight from the Unit Director and serves as a liaison between hospital departments and Environmental Services to provide the highest possible level of service. The role calls for strong leadership, customer service, communication, and quality skills. Some flexibility to work differing shifts is required. Xanitos provides hospital housekeeping, patient transport, central laundry, and patient observation services. The company describes its patented XRO System for cleaning patient rooms and emphasizes high-quality service and operational results.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Strong leadership skills and experience leading and managing a team.
- Customer-service-minded approach and strong service/quality attitude.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Windows-based office software.
- Flexibility to work some differing shifts.
Nice To Haves
- College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in staff selection and interview candidates as needed.
- Schedule days off, holidays, and vacations while ensuring account needs are met in accordance with hours and position control.
- Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory and general-use equipment.
- Ensure staff receive proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
- Provide individual guidance and motivation to help staff perform to their fullest potential.
- Discipline associates when necessary according to progressive disciplinary guidelines.
- Prepare associate disciplinary and variance reports, conduct follow-up investigations as needed, and report findings to the Department Director.
- Prepare disciplinary action notices and conduct follow-up as required.
- Conduct disciplinary meetings with associates with guidance from the Department Director.
- Maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment.
- Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
- Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
