About The Position

The EVS Attendant cleans and maintains casino and common areas, including slot machines, restrooms, offices, restaurants, public areas, floors, furniture, fixtures, elevators, and escalators. The role involves removing trash and debris, responding to spills, handling biohazardous materials according to established guidelines, and replenishing restroom supplies. The attendant must use cleaning solutions and equipment properly, follow applicable policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Willingness to learn and follow direction.
• Ability to operate equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mops, and brooms.
• Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean slot machines, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows and ledges, restaurants, lighting, walls, countertops, furniture, and decorative objects in casino and common areas.
• Vacuum carpets; sweep and mop tile floors; and clean spills.
• Clean up biohazardous materials according to established guidelines.
• Remove trash from containers and take it to dumpsters.
• Use cleaning solutions and equipment properly.
• Replace toilet tissue and refill paper towel dispensers.
• Clean and polish furniture, marble, brass fixtures, brass floor plates, entrance door brass, and kick door brass plates.
• Clean escalators and elevators.
• Know the locations of facilities throughout the casino.
• Straighten chairs as needed.
• Remove glasses, cups, paper, and debris from assigned areas according to procedure.
• Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in company matters.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
