About The Position

The EVS Attendant maintains cleanliness and guest-service standards throughout casino and common areas. The role involves cleaning gaming equipment, restrooms, offices, public spaces, restaurants, floors, fixtures, furniture, elevators, and escalators; handling trash and spills; and following established procedures for cleaning solutions, equipment, and biohazardous materials. The attendant must follow regulatory, departmental, property, and company policies, maintain confidentiality, and perform other related duties as assigned. A high school diploma or equivalent and previous housekeeping or janitorial experience are preferred but not required. The position requires willingness to learn and follow direction, operate cleaning equipment, work with urgency and energy, and collaborate and communicate effectively with coworkers.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to learn and follow direction.
• Ability to operate vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, mops, and brooms.
• Ability to perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest-service standards.
• Clean slot machines, surrounding areas, ash trays, slot bases, trash cans, restrooms, offices, public areas, windows and ledges, restaurants, lighting, walls, countertops, furniture, and decorative objects in casino and common areas.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean spills.
• Clean up biohazardous materials according to established guidelines.
• Remove trash from containers and place it in dumpsters.
• Use cleaning solutions and equipment properly.
• Replace toilet tissue and refill paper towel dispensers.
• Clean and polish furniture, marble, brass fixtures, brass floor plates, entrance door brass, and kick door brass plates.
• Clean escalators and elevators.
• Know the locations of facilities in the casino.
• Straighten chairs as needed.
• Remove glasses, cups, paper, and debris from assigned areas according to procedure.
• Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures.
• Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters.
