About The Position

The EVS Assistant Shift Manager is responsible for supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift. This role supports, administers, and manages operational goals while monitoring the achievement of performance and profit objectives. The position ensures the daily and deep cleaning of the casino property meets established standards, manages supply par levels, and oversees departmental compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Associate’s Degree (A.A.) in a related field, or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Knowledge of OSHA standards.
Ability to perform the physical job duties of all EVS team members in emergencies.
Ability to operate standard EVS equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
Mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Ability to resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

Responsibilities

Supervise staff and manage overall daily operations for a designated shift.
Support and manage operational goals and monitor performance and profit objectives.
Manage scheduling and coordinate concerns with the manager while prioritizing guest satisfaction.
Assist in the budget process by providing recommendations and supporting departmental budget initiatives.
Promote and demonstrate superior customer service and ensure team adherence to service standards.
Ensure day-to-day and deep cleaning of the casino property is performed to standards.
Inspect completed work.
Maintain supply par levels and make recommendations for supplies and equipment.
Assist in ordering supplies and equipment inventory.
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
Ensure the department has necessary tools and equipment is in working order.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
