About The Position
Lightspeed Systems is seeking an Events & Marketing Assistant to join their Marketing team. This role will report to the Events Manager and will be responsible for supporting the sales team's presence at events, managing event logistics, and assisting with broader marketing efforts to fuel the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event management and a keen eye for detail.
Requirements
- 1-2 years in event coordination, marketing, or related client-facing roles.
- Four-year degree required.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and good at managing multiple moving parts at once.
- Thrives on logistics, deadlines, and vendor coordination in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong written and verbal communicator.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and reliable, with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to travel occasionally to support on-site event execution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
- Research and identify relevant industry events, conferences, and trade shows aligned with company goals.
- Manage event registration, including booth space, sponsorships, and attendee sign-ups.
- Coordinate event logistics such as travel, internal pre-event communication, and show service orders (AV, electric, material handling, etc.).
- Help plan event happy hours, including researching and selecting venues, gathering and comparing pricing, and coordinating event details.
- Manage shipping and receiving of event materials, booth assets, and promotional collateral, ensuring timely and intact delivery.
- Support post-event follow-up, including lead capture organization and handoff to the marketing/sales funnel.
- Support lead conversion through nurture campaign support and CRM data hygiene.
- Assist with general marketing tasks and projects, including content coordination and campaign support.
- Keep event and marketing records accurate in the CRM.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
