About The Position

The Banquet Server greets, assists, and serves guests and members at special functions and events. The role supports Banquet Managers and helps create a positive guest experience through attentive service, effective communication, and composure in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include preparing banquet rooms, attending pre-event roll calls, serving food and beverages, clearing used service items, complying with alcohol-service laws, and checking that guests are satisfied.

Requirements

• Must be of legal age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages.
• Provide an applicable state card or certificate if required by state law.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Managers in welcoming and serving members and guests and providing a positive experience during banquet functions.
• Set up banquet rooms as requested by the supervisor, including glassware, service ware, and linen.
• Attend roll call meetings before banquet kickoff to learn responsibilities and expectations.
• Serve beverages and menu courses in the appropriate order.
• Remove plates, service ware, and glassware as guests and members finish their courses.
• Comply with applicable corporate rules, laws, and requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages when necessary and check with guests and members to ensure they are satisfied.
• Perform other related functions as assigned.
