About The Position

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, spanning venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. The Event Security role primarily maintains security access and control throughout the Owensboro Convention Center and Sportscenter. The position includes routine facility rounds, customer service for arriving clients and patrons, and responding to incidents. The hourly rate is $15.00. The position will remain open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Prior security experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide guest safety and security at the assigned venue, emphasizing customer service.
Enforce venue regulations and policies.
Support security in an environment with large groups of guests.
Interact with other staff in a positive and productive manner.
Maintain control of assigned sections or areas.
Adapt to changing environments.
Perform bag checks and security inspections as directed at required events.
Anticipate and correct trouble situations in the assigned area.
Know general building information and the locations of various amenities.
Ensure areas are safe for patrons and staff.
Follow verbal and written instructions.
Work in adverse weather conditions as needed, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
