About The Position

Goodera is seeking a freelance emcee to lead corporate volunteering activities in Olive Branch, Mississippi. The host facilitates engaging, accessible, and impactful volunteering events for corporate employees and represents Goodera while ensuring a high-quality participant experience. Hosts lead the event from preparation and setup through facilitation and post-event wrap-up, and connect with nonprofits and beneficiaries to deepen the impact. The role offers event-based work, with hosts choosing which events to take and building their own schedules.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with volunteers.
• Proficiency in public speaking and the ability to engage and captivate an audience.
• Fluency in English.
• Passion for social impact initiatives and interest in understanding the causes and impact of volunteering activities.
• Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changing situations during events.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and a team player with strong creative skills.
• Ability to sustain genuine enthusiasm for 2–4 hours and make participants feel at ease.
• Ability to manage group dynamics and adapt when technology fails or plans change.

Responsibilities

• Host and manage volunteering events tailored for corporate teams.
• Represent Goodera and maintain high standards of experience and engagement.
• Communicate clearly and build strong connections with volunteers.
• Ensure a seamless event experience from start to finish.
• Lead the event journey, including setting up materials, hosting, and completing post-event wrap-up.
• Capture event moments to create memorable experiences for volunteers.
• Handle setup and logistics, including checking materials, briefing volunteers, and planning for contingencies.
• Connect with nonprofits and beneficiaries after events to close the loop and deepen the experience’s impact.
• Demonstrate passion for social impact and understanding of the causes and effects of volunteering activities.
