About The Position

Goodera is seeking an emcee to support and lead corporate volunteering activities in Cleveland, Ohio. The host facilitates engaging, accessible, and impactful volunteering events for corporate employees, representing Goodera and ensuring a high-quality experience from setup through post-event wrap-up. Hosts manage materials and logistics, communicate with volunteers, adapt to changing circumstances, and help connect the event with nonprofits and beneficiaries to deepen its impact. The role is event-based and offers schedule flexibility, with hosts choosing which events to lead.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with volunteers.
• Proficiency in public speaking and the ability to engage and captivate an audience.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong passion for social impact initiatives and interest in understanding the causes and impact of volunteering activities.
• Ability to adapt and respond swiftly to changing situations during events.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and a team player with strong creative skills.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in additional regional languages.
• Ability to sustain genuine enthusiasm for 2 to 4 hours.

Responsibilities

• Host and manage volunteering events tailored for corporate teams.
• Represent Goodera and maintain high standards of experience and engagement.
• Communicate clearly and build strong connections with volunteers.
• Ensure a seamless event experience from beginning to end.
• Lead the event journey, including setting up materials, hosting, and completing post-event wrap-up.
• Capture memorable moments from events for volunteers.
• Handle setup and logistics, including checking materials, providing volunteer instructions, and planning for contingencies.
• Connect with nonprofits and beneficiaries to close the loop and deepen the impact of the experience.
• Demonstrate passion for social impact and understanding of the causes and effects of volunteering activities.
