Event and Conference Manager

Funnel Leasing
$80,000 - $95,000Remote

About The Position

Funnel Leasing Inc. is seeking an Event and Conference Manager to own their events and conferences calendar end-to-end, including ideation, logistics, vendor negotiation, branding, and on-site execution. This role is revenue-critical, responsible for the commercial engine behind every event by partnering with SDRs and sales on targeted outreach before events, ensuring lead follow-up with demand gen, and supporting ABM campaigns. The position drives a significant portion of the company's annual pipeline through industry events, the user conference (The Forum), and other initiatives.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive event or field marketing management experience; B2B SaaS or similar preferred.
  • Hands-on experience setting up and administering event management platforms (e.g. Whova, Cvent, Splash, Bizzabo, or similar) and other registration/lead capture tools.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar) for outreach and follow-up tracking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record working cross-functionally, especially with sales and SDR teams.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both virtual and in-person.
  • Proven track record of running events that produce pipeline, not just attendance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative. You think of outside-the-box ideas that have a lasting impact on prospects and event attendees.
  • Style. You’re often told you have great taste and stay on top of trends and culture.
  • Hyper-organized. You manage (and can cite) highly interdependent, complex projects and keep every workstream on track without losing details along the way.
  • Sales-minded. You obsess over the persona each event is meant to reach, and make sure sales, SDRs, and demand gen are amplifying your efforts toward the right attendees.
  • A team player. You collaborate daily with Marketing, Sales, SDRs, Demand Gen, Product, and other teams, and can work across a range of disciplines to get things done.
  • Trendsetter. You push the status quo and look for a better way to improve Funnel’s buyer journey. You keep up to date with others pushing boundaries.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel/hospitality degree a plus, not required.
  • Exposure to ABM strategy and execution a plus.
  • Local candidates to Odessa/Tampa, FL a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize differentiated booth designs and VIP experiences with external vendors.
  • Build and maintain the events calendar with the marketing team.
  • Work with graphic design to finalize promotional assets, swag and VIP gifts.
  • Own all event logistics: venue, A/V, catering, shipping, and vendor negotiation for the best rates and terms.
  • Set up and maintain event management platforms and related tools (registration, check-in, lead capture) and keep them current across every event.
  • Manage registration sites and event landing pages.
  • Work with HR to plan and run Funnel Fest, the annual employee conference.
  • Travel to and serve as on-site point of contact for all industry conferences, The Forum, and Funnel Fest; staff local or regional events as needed.
  • Own outreach planning with SDRs and sales for every event: target account lists, invite cadence, and follow-up ownership before attendees ever arrive.
  • Partner with demand gen on post-event follow-up so every lead gets the right next step, fast.
  • Support ABM campaigns tied to (and independent of) events: account selection, personalized outreach, and executive experiences for top targets.
  • Work with sales to confirm the right people are being invited and shown up for, not just headcount.
  • Share attendee lists, overview decks, and other pertinent event information with internal stakeholders.
  • Track and report event and campaign ROI: pipeline sourced and influenced, cost per lead, follow-up conversion, to continuously improve strategy.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and buyer behavior to keep event strategy sharp.
  • Develop relationships with other partners in our space to encourage collaborative events.
  • Recruit, train, and manage on-site event staff and any contracted support.
  • Lead the Funnel event team on-site to build attendee relationships that support sales objectives.
