About The Position

Easterseals Florida is hiring an Exceptional Student Education Assistant Teacher for The School for Limitless Learning for the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time, school-year position works 37.5 hours per week and pays $18.00 per hour. The school uses a play-based curriculum and an inclusive approach for children who are neurodiverse or have related disabilities. The Assistant Teacher supports a nurturing and stimulating learning environment and helps promote children’s safety, development, and well-being.

Requirements

A Florida Staff Credential, such as a Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC), National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC), or an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

A bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework.
Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training.

Responsibilities

Provide a positive, safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
Provide constant supervision to ensure each child’s safety and well-being within the learning center.
Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families.
Work collaboratively with educators and staff to promote a positive, cohesive team environment.
Screen and assess children to determine developmental and educational needs.
