About The Position

Easterseals Florida is hiring an Exceptional Student Education Teacher Assistant for The School for Limitless Learning for the 2026–2027 school year. The private school uses a play-based curriculum and an inclusive approach for children who are neurodiverse or have related disabilities. The Teacher Assistant supports a nurturing, stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment throughout the school year. This is a full-time, school-year position working 37.5 hours per week, with pay of $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

• A Florida Staff Credential, such as a Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC), National Early Childhood Credential (CDA/NECC), or an associate degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework; preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of the Florida Department of Children & Families 45-hour Child Care Training.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive, safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
• Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Provide constant supervision to ensure each child's safety and well-being within the learning center.
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents and families.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to promote a positive, cohesive team environment.
• Screen and assess children to determine developmental and educational needs.
