About The Position

The Escort transports patients admitted to the hospital to their assigned rooms and assists with transportation needs when patients are dismissed or take short-term leave. The role completes transports promptly, maintains clean equipment, and interacts politely and professionally with patients, visitors, and medical center staff. It works independently, often receiving direction by phone or pager.

The position requires flexible hours, including days, evenings, holidays, weekends, and split shifts, with rotating days off. During selection, applicants may be asked to complete a prerecorded OnDemand interview at their convenience. The vacancy is not eligible for visa sponsorship or transfer, and Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication, telephone, and human relations skills for interacting with patients, guests, and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
