About The Position

The Escort transports patients admitted to the hospital to their assigned rooms and assists with transportation upon dismissal or short-term leave. The role requires completing transports in a timely manner, keeping equipment clean, and interacting politely and professionally with patients, visitors, and medical center staff. The Escort works independently, often receiving direction by phone or pager.

The schedule may include flexible hours across days, evenings, day/evenings, holidays, weekends, and split shifts, with rotating days off.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good communication, telephone, and human relations skills for interacting with patients, guests, and staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
