About The Position

The Equipment Service Technician performs mechanical services on cold drink equipment, maneuvering equipment to troubleshoot and complete repairs and providing preventative maintenance. The role involves field work at customer locations and regular travel between them. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The technician maintains customer relationships through effective communication, completes work tickets using handheld equipment, and manages parts inventory and vehicle organization. The role also coordinates with Planning, Sales, and customers, and follows safety requirements, including completing assigned training and using personal protective equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of work experience.
Demonstrated mechanical, technical, and electrical aptitude.
Basic computer application and technology skills.
Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification upon hire.
Valid driver's license, current vehicle liability insurance, and a driving record within policy guidelines, including no major violations within the last three years.
Class-E driver's license for Missouri drivers and locations only.

Nice To Haves

Refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification.
Ability to use a voltage meter.
Prior experience using a forklift.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field to keep it in proper operating condition.
Maintain positive customer relationships through effective communication.
Complete required work tickets using handheld equipment.
Maintain accurate and appropriate parts inventory in the vehicle, order supplies, conduct bi-annual inventory audits, and keep the vehicle clean and organized using Kaizen initiatives.
Build cross-functional relationships with Planning, Sales, and customers through open communication and effective coordination.
Maintain a safe work area, comply with safety standards, complete daily stretches and assigned safety training, and use all required personal protective equipment.
