About The Position

The Epic Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, optimization, testing, and support of Epic clinical applications that support inpatient, ambulatory, ancillary, and specialty clinical services. This position collaborates with physicians, nursing, ancillary departments, operational leadership, third-party vendors and Information Technology to design, implement, support and optimize clinical workflows that improve patient care, operational efficiency, clinician satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. The Analyst serves as the primary application expert for assigned Epic clinical applications throughout the application life-cycle, including workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, implementation, production support, upgrades, optimization, and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology, or a related field required. Four (4) years of relevant operational experience may be used in lieu of a four-year degree. Equivalent combinations of education and healthcare information systems experience may be considered.
  • Three (3) years of healthcare information systems or clinical operations experience.
  • Epic certification must be obtained and maintained according to organizational requirements.
  • Applicants must complete an EPIC assessment as part of the hiring process.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
  • On-call coverage for weeknights and weekends may be required after project go-live.
  • Travel will be required depending on the project phase and business needs. This includes air travel with multi-day visits.
