About The Position

The Epic Cadence Specialist serves as a subject matter expert in EHR-based scheduling, provider templates, capacity management, and patient access here at Evara Health. This position analyzes scheduling performance, identifies access and workflow opportunities, and recommends improvements that support timely patient care, provider utilization, scheduling accuracy, and operational efficiency. The Specialist collaborates with Patient Access, operational leaders, clinical leadership, IT, and support teams to implement, monitor, and standardize scheduling solutions across Evara Health.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Information Systems, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of healthcare operations, patient access, scheduling, healthcare information systems, or related experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with EHR-based scheduling systems, scheduling templates, or related functionality.

• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize provider, department, resource, and appointment scheduling templates, including appointment types, rules, restrictions, and capacity allocation.
• Identify opportunities to improve template utilization, scheduling efficiency, appointment availability, and standardized scheduling practices across Evara Health.
• Analyze provider capacity, appointment availability, utilization, and access trends, including First Available and Third Next Available measures.
• Identify barriers to timely care and recommend improvements to appointment capacity, new and established patient access, same-day, urgent, and specialty scheduling.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for EHR scheduling workflows and functionality, translating operational needs into clear requirements and enhancement requests.
• Partner with EHR analysts and IT to design, test, implement, and validate scheduling changes while monitoring outcomes and patient-access impacts.
• Develop and analyze reports, dashboards, and performance measures related to scheduling, provider utilization, appointment completion, template accuracy, and unused capacity.
• Identify trends and variances, evaluate the effectiveness of scheduling changes, and communicate recommendations to operational stakeholders and leadership.
• Support scheduling policies, procedures, workflows, training materials, and continuous improvement initiatives while reducing unnecessary variation and manual workarounds.
• Collaborate with Patient Access, Contact Center, clinic operations, clinical teams, IT, and EHR support teams while maintaining compliance with Evara Health, HIPAA, state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
