The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for performing complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, sanitizing, washing surfaces, sweeping, scrubbing, refinishing floors, vacuuming carpets, re-stocking restrooms, and replacing light bulbs. This role also involves removing waste, collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash and hazardous waste, and recycling materials. The technician will maintain equipment, ensure a safe working environment, and comply with all relevant guidelines and standards. The position requires attending in-service education and training classes to maintain technical knowledge and consistently meeting time schedules and deadlines. Some outdoor cleaning and occasional ladder use may be required. The role involves significant contact with cleaning chemicals and disinfecting agents.
