About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician (EVS) maintains a clean, sanitary, orderly, and welcoming hospital environment at a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care. The role performs routine housekeeping in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobbies. Cleaning tasks are carried out according to established schedules and procedures, using cleaning solutions and disinfectants to help prevent the spread of disease. The position also supports customer service excellence in interactions with patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience required.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commitment to customer service excellence in interactions with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain a clean work environment in assigned hospital areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas.
• Help maintain the overall sanitation, order, and appearance of the hospital.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
• Clean furnishings, floors, and equipment using cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
• Dust window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture; empty ashtrays and trash buckets; and arrange furniture and equipment neatly.
• Make beds with clean linen in the prescribed manner.
• Scour and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment.
• Replenish soap, towels, and other disposable supplies.
