About The Position

Join the MercyOne Family as an Environmental Services Tech. The role cleans and disinfects patient-care and public areas of MercyOne Northeast Iowa in accordance with cleanliness standards. The colleague adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs defined services and related duties in accordance with MercyOne's mission, vision, and values.

The position performs patient and resident room cleaning to provide a clean, sanitary environment, as well as cleaning administrative and support areas. It also performs special functions to keep work areas neat, orderly, and available for use; keeps equipment, carts, and closets clean, orderly, and operational; contributes to departmental safety, security, and efficiency; and demonstrates proper floor-cleaning procedures and equipment care.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week day-shift position. MercyOne describes competitive compensation, a full benefits package, and opportunities for growth throughout the system.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and understand English and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff, and physicians while performing job duties.
• Mandatory Reporter.
• If driving, a valid Iowa driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) are required.
• Ability to work with a large degree of independence.
• Must display a professional image.
• Ability to be sensitive to customer needs.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities
