About The Position
The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for daily operations during the assigned shift and for future strategic planning of department goals. The supervisor monitors staff performance and staffing levels during the shift and helps ensure a safe, sanitary environment for ambulatory surgery center (ASC) patients, visitors, and staff. The role promotes good customer service by emphasizing East Alabama Medical Center’s core values in interactions with internal and external customers. It also follows infection-prevention practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and proper cleaning and turnover of equipment and patient bays. The supervisor serves as a nurse liaison by transporting patients ready for discharge to their vehicles. East Alabama Medical Center’s mission is to provide high-quality, compassionate health care. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two to four years of experience in the Environmental Services field.
