About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide maintains assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition using proper procedures. The aide recognizes the importance of positive public relations while performing assigned duties and continually seeks ways to improve the appearance of Shepherd Center.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt easily to change.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Terminally clean patient and exam rooms.
• Dust and wet-mop floors.
• Clean patient, nursing, and public areas.
• Vacuum.
• Remove and dispose of waste from the assigned work area.
• Report employee, patient, or visitor injuries or accidents, and other safety issues, to the supervisor.
