Environmental Service Worker - Part Time - Days + Weekends & Holidays
About The Position
Environmental Service Workers are part of the Environmental Services Team and help ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming hospital environment for patients and their families. Housekeeping staff maintain cleanliness and support a culture of compassion, caring, warmth, and support. They interact with patients and families, go beyond for patients, and provide superior customer service while maintaining a continuous focus on infection control. This is a part-time day-shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355. The shift is 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Weekend work is required every weekend for the first two years on the team; after that, every other weekend is required. Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required. The stated date range is October 16, 2026, through October 23, 2026. The hourly salary range is $26.24–$27.91. Requirements
- Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience.
- Ability to read, write, and follow specific oral and written instructions.

- Availability for a 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. day shift, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays; weekends are required every weekend for the first two years, then every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Extensive customer service experience and a desire to put patients first.
- Experience in the healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or retail industry.
- A high school diploma or GED is highly desired but not required.
