Environmental Service Worker - Nights + Weekends & Holidays
About The Position
Environmental Services housekeeping staff help ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming hospital environment for patients and their families. The role supports cleanliness and infection control while fostering a culture of compassion, caring, warmth, and support. Environmental Service Workers interact with patients and families, provide superior customer service, and strive to go above and beyond for patients. This is a full-time night-shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355. The shift is 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required. Weekends are required for the first two years on the team; after that, every other weekend is required.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience.
- Ability to read, write, and follow specific oral and written instructions.
- Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.
- Work nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays; weekends are required for the first two years, followed by every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First.
- Experience in the healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or retail industry.
- A high school diploma or GED is highly desired but not required.
