About The Position

The Environmental Service Worker is part of the Environmental Services Team at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. Housekeeping staff help ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients and their families. They maintain cleanliness and a culture of compassion, caring, warmth, and support; interact with patients and families; and provide superior customer service. This is a full-time night-shift position at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355, with a shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The position includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays and requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund. Weekends are required for the first two years; afterward, every other weekend is required. The listed start date is October 16, 2026, and the listed end date is October 23, 2026. The salary range is $26.24–$27.91 per hour.

Requirements

• Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience.
• Ability to read, write, and follow specific oral and written instructions.
• Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required.
• Availability for the 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. shift, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays; weekends are required for the first two years, followed by every other weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Extensive customer service experience and a desire to put patients first.
• Experience in the healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or retail industry.
• A high school diploma or GED is highly desired but not required.
