Environmental Service Worker - Part Time - Days + Weekends & Holidays
About The Position
Environmental Service Workers on the Environmental Services Team help maintain a safe, comfortable, clean, and welcoming hospital environment for patients and their families. The role supports infection control and a positive patient experience through compassionate interactions, friendly service, and attention to cleanliness. This is a part-time day-shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, 56-45 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355. The shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund is required. Weekends are required for the first two years; afterward, every other weekend is required.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience.
- Ability to read, write, and follow specific oral and written instructions.
- Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays; weekends are required for the first two years, followed by every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First.
- Experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or retail industries.
- High school diploma or GED is highly desired but not required.
