About The Position

SGS is seeking an Environmental Sample Courier to join its Dayton, New Jersey laboratory team. The position is responsible for picking up and delivering samples and sampling kits to and from SGS clients throughout New Jersey. The schedule is Monday through Friday, four 10-hour days, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Flexible hours may occasionally be required, along with travel to other SGS locations or client locations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions safely, accurately, and on time.
Ability to read formal maps.
Personable approach and ability to establish good relationships with clients.
Ability to work well both independently and with others.
Ability to work flexible hours when required.
Ability to travel to other SGS or client locations.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull upwards of 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

Follow a predefined route to pick up samples from clients and deliver them to SGS laboratories.
Provide courteous, efficient, and professional sample pickup service and deliver sampling supplies safely and on time.
Complete log sheets and obtain customer signatures for chain-of-custody and billing purposes.
Measure the temperatures of samples upon receipt.
Keep the company vehicle clean and in good working order.
Maintain a safe and satisfactory driving record.
Complete SGS Defensive Driver training courses as required.
Comply fully with the company’s Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
