Entry Level Sales Executive - Champaign, IL
About The Position
Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL), a member of Genesis Global Group, is a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory specializing in automated DNA-based molecular analysis, including PCR testing, with a broad infectious disease testing menu. The company is expanding its U.S. sales force and seeks a high-energy, self-motivated Entry-Level Sales Executive to maintain and grow a client base of hospital and physician customers in an assigned territory. The role focuses on developing territory business, achieving sales and profit objectives, building relationships with clients, and presenting MDL testing services to medical professionals. The position requires travel within the territory and occasional nationwide travel.
Requirements
- Well-developed multitasking and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office, Excel, email, and internet functions.
- Ability to travel within the coverage area and occasionally nationwide.
- One to three years of experience is preferred but not required.
Nice To Haves
- A bachelor's degree, two years of sales experience, or a similar combination of education and experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Achieve annual sales and profit objectives for a defined territory.
- Obtain new business and exceed the annual territory sales budget by presenting new test information, upselling, and identifying new revenue sources among clients.
- Develop and deliver personalized sales presentations to physicians, laboratory staff, clinics, and group practices, showing how MDL's technical features and services can benefit practices and support quality patient care.
- Build positive, long-term client relationships by scheduling and conducting client calls.
- Develop and maintain a full pipeline of prospective clients and manage all territory activities within an assigned geographic region.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on the pipeline, account plans, and territory management activities.
- Work closely with the Regional Manager to develop the assigned territory in line with company objectives.
- Maintain knowledge of competitors and their presence in the assigned territory.
