About The Position

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL), a member of Genesis Global Group, is a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory specializing in automated DNA-based molecular analysis of chronic and infectious illnesses. MDL performs Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing and offers a broad menu of infectious disease testing. Its research areas include gynecology, infectious diseases, infectious arthritis, tick-borne diseases, mycology, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

MDL is expanding its U.S. sales force and seeks a high-energy, self-motivated Entry-Level Sales Executive to maintain and grow a client base of hospital and physician customers. The role is responsible for sales and profit objectives within an assigned territory, developing new business, and managing client relationships and territory activities.

Requirements

• Well-developed multitasking and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office, Excel, email, and internet functions.
• Ability to travel within the coverage area and occasionally nationwide.
• One to three years of experience is preferred but not required.
• A bachelor’s degree, two years of sales experience, or a similar combination of education and experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve annual sales and profit objectives for a defined territory.
• Obtain new business and exceed the annual territory sales budget by presenting new test information, upselling, and identifying new revenue sources from clients.
• Develop and deliver personalized sales presentations to physicians, laboratory staff, clinics, and group practices, demonstrating how MDL’s technical features and services can benefit practices and support quality patient care.
• Establish positive, long-term client relationships by scheduling and conducting client calls.
• Develop and maintain a full pipeline of prospective clients and manage all territory activities within an assigned geographic region.
• Provide timely and accurate reporting on pipeline, account plans, and territory management activities.
• Work with the Regional Manager to develop the assigned territory in line with company objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors and their presence in the assigned territory.
