About The Position

The Express Service Technician performs vehicle maintenance assigned on repair orders in accordance with dealership and factory standards. The role supports customer loyalty by building trust and confidence in AutoNation’s care for vehicle safety and reliability. The technician works with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication, documents completed work, stays current on factory technical bulletins, and participates in factory-sponsored training as appropriate. Success is measured by targeted production and Customer Satisfaction Index results. AutoNation offers training and OEM certification support, with potential career paths including Service Technician and Service Advisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to follow processes to ensure quality and safety.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record that can be maintained.
• Passion for cars and customer service.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as an express or quick-lube technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Stay informed about factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty.
