About The Position

Bettenhausen Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram of Lockport is seeking an experienced Lube Technician to join its service team full time. The role offers an opportunity to develop an automotive career at a family-owned organization that describes its work atmosphere as supportive and offers career growth. Bettenhausen has partnered with Strayer University to provide an opportunity for covered college education. Starting pay is $18 per hour, depending on experience, with additional spiffs and bonuses available.

Requirements

Mechanical knowledge.
Valid driver's license.
Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform work listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately.
Drain oil from crankcases and replace oil and air filters.
Perform multipoint inspections and report findings, including tire pressure and lubrication of moving parts.
Coordinate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
Document all work performed on repair orders.
Keep customer vehicles and the shop neat and clean, and report any customer changes.
Maintain dealership-owned tools and manuals, returning them to the proper place and in the condition received.
Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know requirements; complete required training.
Operate tools and equipment safely.
Report safety issues to management immediately.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
